It took me back to the memories of the news reports of my youth when the bombings and reports of killings and unrest were occurring on a minute to minute basis in Ireland. Don’t let that frighten or steer you away. This book opens with a bit of a history lesson. I loved the history of Ireland, ( I am Irish-Italian and my Irish ancestry is from Cork Ireland, it was so cool reading a little about it in the book) and as well, I loved reading about the history of the IRA, I loved the strong familial ties, and of course I loved the relationship between River and Amber it was dynamic and endearing. I loved, Chasing River, the 3rd book in the Burying Water series. I was provided a review copy this did not influence my opinion of the book. Amber isn’t the kind of girl to chase after anyone.Īnd River isn't the kind of guy she'd want to catch. Maybe it's because he saved her life, or maybe it's because he's completely different from everything she's left behind, but Amber finds herself chasing after River Delaney. And how dangerous it is to have her around. When the American girl tracks River down, he quickly realizes how much he likes her, how wrong she is for him. Only, everyday life is getting more and more complicated, thanks to his brother, Aengus, and his criminal associations. Back to his everyday life of running his family’s pub. He couldn't let her die, but he also couldn't risk being identified at the scene-so, he ran. But then that American tourist showed up. Twenty-four-year-old River Delaney is rattled. But he takes off before she has the chance to offer her gratitude. Had it not been for the bravery of a stranger, she might have. 2015ĪMZ US AMZ UK B&N Kobo IndieBound Apple Books Books-a-Million Blio GoogleĪrmed with two years' worth of savings and the need to experience life outside the bubble of her Oregon small town, twenty-five-year old Amber Welles is prepared for anything.
